Start Walking Before the Path Appears
Growing up as the perfectionistic preacher’s kid I was no stranger to high expectations self imposed or not. As an emotionally sensitive child who moved around a lot for my dad’s job I had to learn different ways of figuring out what success is and adjusting to change. The best place I found healing was in horseback riding and working at the barn to pay for it, being an equine therapy assistant, and eventually in supporting families who had children with challenging behavior.
Now
I found my best self when I was helping others and I live by the credo “why not me?” Because of this I have worked as an anxiety and trauma therapist and advocate for adults, children, and families. Along the way I learned so much about less common disorders like OCD and found a calling in helping people who needed specialized care. I am a mom of four, dog lover, sci fi nerd, baker, artist and a constant chaos coordinator.

Connecting through nature
I am a mother of four, an avid outdoor lover, and a therapist for 20 years. Working with animals in wellness has been an interest of mine since I was a teenager and was a volunteer assisting with equine therapy. When I am outside I love to climb mountains, kayak, garden, bike, do yoga, and in Texas explore the many hiking trails our parks system have to offer. I offer walk and talk therapy sessions if the outdoors calls your name. Holistic treatment is an important part of many of my client’s lives and and I am supportive of you finding healing through natural methods that are important to you or your culture.

“This thing we call failure is not the falling down, it’s the staying down.”
“Our anxiety does not empty tomorrow of its’ sorrows but only empties today of it’s strengths.“ – C.H. Spurgeon
“If you want something different you are going to have to do something different,“ – Jack Canfield
Experienced and taking insurance
Many quality therapists do not take insurance. Most major insurances are contracted with me. I also partner with Thrizer for out of network clients to make care more affordable. I have a dedicated billing partner that will help you understand your benefits and pay securely.
Partners in Care
As a parent you will be involved in your child’s treatment. I will give you recommendations and help your child communicate better with you as part of their therapy. In setting goals as an adult client I will always work with you for what works best for your life and your beliefs.
Therapies that Work
I have training in many different ways of completing therapy using evidence based practices. I can offer short term coping skills, brief solution focused therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, as well as longer term trauma recovery and stress management depending on what is best for you or your child.
