Why Choose Jessie Tirrell for LCSW supervision?
Are you ready to transform lives and become an LCSW in Texas? I bring 19 years of dedicated experience, specializing in trauma, attachment, and anxiety for children, adults, and families. With a decade at Cook Childrens Hospital, I’ve treated uncommon disorders like conversion disorders, psychosis, and complex medical issues. I have been a field instructor for many years as well. I love talking about therapy and mental health and supporting people in their journey! Case management, intake, and referral are areas that I am familiar with but I have been primarily a therapist for my entire career so in supervision you will be gaining skills and the ability to see people clinically right away with an LCSW.

What techniques do you use or teach in LCSW supervision?
By receiving LCSW supervision in Texas you will benefit from my experience! I use a variety of therapy techniques including CBT (including for TF-CBT), TBRI, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), DBT skills training, Seeking Safety, art, play, and sand tray therapy. Parent coaching is one of my strong skills and I can get you set up with a large toolbox of strategies you can use in your practice.

Why should I use outside LCSW supervision if my job offers it for free?
Supervision is a vulnerable journey, and it thrives when you can freely share the good, the bad, and the not so pretty. Imagine a space where you don’t have to juggle your work self, clinical self, and personal self at the same time. Outside supervision allows you the freedom to navigate these layers without the added pressure of self-management. When doing agency work ethical dilemmas can arise. Having an outside party to navigate these complexities can prove invaluable.
Outside supervision ensures that issues from your past, which may be uncomfortable to share with an internal supervisor, remain confidential. No more concerns about these personal aspects affecting performance reviews or being shared without your consent. Experience supervision that prioritizes your growth, maintains confidentiality, and empowers you first! Your professional evolution starts with the right external support!
Your Requirements
To enter LCSW supervision we will need to sign a supervision agreement as well as obtaining malpractice insurance, a business associate agreement with your employer, payment agreement, and contact information for your employer. Our first session will be an individual session to set goals. I can offer discounts for referrals to supervision groups for your colleagues.

What are you like as an LCSW supervisor?
I am very warm and open and while I will challenge you to continue to grow your skills I am at my heart a strengths based social worker and I don’t ever feel like people grow when you tear them down. I will challenge your skills through role play, task assignments, case studies, test preparation, and experiential activities designed to rehearse skills you can use with clients immediately and with better understanding of how they work.
5
How long does LCSW supervision last?
You will need 3000 hours of practice and 100 hours of supervision which takes most people about 2 years but must be completed within 4 years. I offer individual and group supervision virtually to best accommodate you but can offer in person sessions if required. Investing in yourself is one of the best ways that you can support your career and family.
